If you didn't make it to the Skydive Expo, then you better have a good excuse and a plane ticket waiting for the next one because it was an awesome experience. Good people, good education...basically good everything but weather. But sometimes thats not such a horrible thing because it gave people a chance to go to the seminars when they normally would have been jumping.

So we didn't have a booth or give a talk, but we did go to every booth and talk to as many people as we could. Told them about Support Skydivers and our ideas and our cause. Aside from the manufacturers, there were some great people from all over the world and all walk of life. Talked to the people from Raise The Sky about some of the charitable causes going on. The organizer of the Jump For the Kids Boogie was down there as well.

I think one of the most important things that we were all reminded of was that Skydiving really is a community. Lots of new friends were made. Even though people were stuck on the ground most of the time, everyone sat around and talked. Lots of alcohol was drunk (quite a bit of it was even during the day since the weather was crappy).

But the biggest thanks for all the festivities should go to the ladies over at Blue Skies Magazine for putting this whole shin dig together. They were going crazy the whole time (and I witnessed it and it was probably more entertaining than it should have been) making sure things ran smoothly and that everyone was enjoying themselves. If you get the chance, make sure you thank Kolla and Lara for their hard work and dedication to the skydiving community (or if you don't like talking to them, I'm sure they'd be happy if you bought a subscription).

Hopefully everyone still had as much fun as I had and met as many cool new people as I did. And hopefully, the next time this things happens, there will be a lot more of what we all like to do, skydiving. Thanks to everyone for supporting the idea.

Blue Skies!
